Satisfies or exceeds the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) approved Basic Peace Office Academy Course #1000. ***THIS COURSE MAY BE OFFERED ONLY BY INSTITUTIONS LICENSED AS A POLICE ACADEMY BY Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.*** Basic preparation for a new peace officer. Topics covered are laws directly related to police field work, Radio Communications, Amber-Silver Alert, TCIC-TLETS, Civilian Interaction Training, Firearms, ALERRT Level I, HazMat Awareness/ICS, Sexual Assault and Family Violence.
