RNSG 1125 - Professional Nursing Concepts I Credit Hours: 1 Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 0 Introduction to professional nursing concepts and exemplars within the professional nursing roles: members of profession, provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, and member of the health care team. Content includes clinical judgment, communication, ethical-legal, evidence-based practice, health promotion, health information technology, patient-centered care, patient education, professionalism, safety, and team/collaboration. Emphasizes role development of the professional nurse. This course lends itself to a concept-based approach. A minimum grade of “C” is required to pass this course.
